Well, as a promise is a debt, here we go! The saturday debate post is comming!

Había quedado con Niki en su casa a las cinco y con Demi un poco antes en la esquina de mi calle casi. Al final Demi llegó temprano y subió a casa y las dos tarde a por Niki (todos sabemos que soy una tardona...) De casa de Niki a la parada del bus en calle Cuarteles unos obreros murmuraron que de qué íbamos, un loco nos gritó que ole por vestirnos como nos daba la gana y el conductor nos dijo que íbamos muy monas.

I had met Niki at 5 o'clock at her place and Demi a bit earlier next to mine. Finally Demi arrived in time and came up home and we both got late to Niki's (we all know I'm a bit slowpoke...) From Niki's to the bus stop at Cuarteles St some workers whispered asking about our clothes, a madman shouted we were so cool for dressing in that way (Lolita way, I mean) and the bus driver told us we were cute.

No hubo problema para llegar al Centro Cívico, donde habíamos quedado con Félix. Allí estaban los de su aso (muy majos todos) y al rato llegó él. Emprendimos entonces el camino hacia la tetería. La verdad es que no estaba nada rebuscada (de hecho, era seguir la calle a la que da la calle de Juanan recta mucho rato), pero dimos bastantes vueltas para llegar o esa impresión me dio.

We had no problem getting the Community Center where we had previously met Felix. The guys from his asociation were there (and they were nice people) and he arrived in a while. We went to the place - a tea house called El Refugio de los Condenados. Although we didn't know where it exactly was, it was not very difficult to find it. In fact, it was just going straight on the street next to Juanan's, but we made a detour not voluntary, or it seemed to me.

Una vez allí todo fue chachi. El ambiente de la tetería estaba muy conseguido: paredes negras, cortinas negras, luces bajas... y teníamos hasta un escenario. Mei llegó al ratito y estuvimos sentadas un rato hasta que empezó el tema. Fue un poco más tarde de lo esperado, pero estuvo muy bien y nos divertimos mucho. Además, llevé mi Bible, la peli de Maria Antonieta y el libro de Kamikaze Girls para decorar un poco y acabamos enseñando fotos de Mana al público.

Once we where there everything was great. The atmosphere in the teahouse (a Gothic one) was pulled off wonderfully with black walls, black curtains, soft light... and we even had an scenario for ourselves! Mei arrived later and we spent some time before the debate just talking and having fun. It started a bit later but was really great and we enjoyed it a lot. Moreover, I brought my Bible, Sophia Copola's Marie Antoinette DVD and my Kamikaze Girls book to decorate - we end up showing Mana's pics to the spectators.

Al terminar hablamos con ellos y estuvimos un ratito haciendo el tonto y comentando más a fondo cosas que habían quedado un pelín colgando en el debate. Para terminar el día, Demi y yo nos acercamos a la heladeria Inma cuando ya se había ido todo el mundo y me compré una tarrina pequeña de avellana y chocolate que comparí con ella (porque como dice una de mis profesoras, "Si no puedes adelgazar, engorda a tu entorno".

At the end we had some chat-time and spend a while playing the fool and commenting some topics form the debate more deeply. To finish the day, I went with Demi to Inma (an ice-cream shop) and I bought a hazlenut and chocolate ice-cream which I shared with her - as my GB History teacher says "If you can't loose weight, fatten those around you."
